Cutlery 4001 is made from a special bronze formula which is the healthiest material for use as a tableware.
The brassware, called ‘Yugi’ is Korea’s unique metal which is forged with a unique ratio 78% of copper and 22% of tin, has been in use traditionally for centuries. Since the copper is mixed with tin, it is also safe from exposure to harmful heavy metals.

Yugi (brassware) is the best known metal for tableware due to its special properties.
Since the particular alloy has sterilization properties, it naturally kills harmful bacteria such as salmonella and can help prevent stomatitis. It also immediately responds to the presence of pesticides or toxic substances.
The alloy furthermore produces minerals by itself that our body needs, and is the healthiest metal to be used as a material for tableware because it is excellent at both holding heat and preserving chilled food items.
The harmony of tradition and modernity
Cutlery 4001 is a modern version of Korean traditional spoon.
Its’ simple silhouette has been designed from the straight line and curve found in a circle.
Especially, the curves of handle design is based on ‘Baeheullim-Gidung’ in Korean traditional architecture.
‘Baeheullim-Gidung’ is similar to the Greek temples pillar, ‘Entasis’, but it is characterized by its maximum diameter being one-third of the ground.
To emphasize the light focused on the metal, the handle is designed with various plane.
Cutlery 4001 is reinterpreted the material, usage and making method of tradition spoon with modern style.
The Cutlery 4001 is a new type of cutlery made in compliance with modern manufacturing methods using machinery, while also maintaining authentic traditional manufacturing techniques done by hand such as stamping, cutting, and trimming.
